Car hifi specialist MAC AUDIO is introducing over 40 brand new products to the market for the start of the 2012 season!
The innovative programme incorporates new built-in speakers in a DIN format, through to high performance amplifiers, right up to active subwoofers for specialised applications.
In view of all of the new products, special emphasis must surely be given to the two new built-in speaker series from MAC AUDIO. While both series exhibit fundamentally different visual and technical concepts, their products fulfil all of the relevant car audio DIN installation standards. The new entry-level series, namely the APM-Fire, is equipped with a specially coated metallic red cellulose cone, which is encompassed by a light foam surround. The dazzling red cones look aggressive, but still manage to appear very elegant at the same time. The relatively lightweight foam surround provides these systems with a good operating efficiency, which in turn permits the connection of a less powerful amplifier. A technical highlight of the second series, namely the MPExclusive, is an injected polypropylene cone with additional edge reinforcement, which eliminates unwanted partial oscillations and enhances the overall sound pattern. While it is slightly more reserved in a black and silver finish, this series is nevertheless a real eye-catcher. A narrow silver strip between the edge reinforcement and rubber surround, combined with the silver design of the tweeter flange in the coaxial system provides this series with a very unique design. In order to ensure this great look is visible during everyday use, MAC AUDIO has developed a protective grille for the MPExclusive series, which only partially impairs the beautiful view. Finally, it is certainly worth mentioning the black plastic ring which tightly surrounds the ample magnets and provides the entire chassis with a brawny appearance.
MAC AUDIO is also introducing two other car audio series for the start of the season under the MPExclusive brand. The new MPExclusive subwoofer series consists of four different models, each with a different housing concept. This series provides car hifi enthusiasts with a choice between the 112 BP bandpass subwoofer, the 112 R bass reflex subwoofer, the 112 T bass reflex tube and the 110 TA active bass reflex tube. The new MPExclusive amplifier series, on the other hand, includes two models which are clearly distinguished from the rest of the mainstream products in the industry thanks to the copper-anodised heat sink. This small but mighty amplifier series is being marketed by MAC AUDIO as its Limited Edition. Consisting of a 2-channel version (2000 CU Ltd.) and a 4-channel version (4000 CU Ltd.), the amplifiers generate around 300 watts of maximum output power per channel, thereby making them more than sufficient for general use.
MAC AUDIO's Micro X series is being expanded this year by two new, extremely powerful car amplifiers under the name Micro XL. The design of the two new amplifiers fits in seamlessly with the existing series. The 4-channel Micro XL 4000 amplifier is 2 ohm stable and is driven by particularly stable Toshiba Audio power transistors. The Micro XL 1000, which is a digital mono amplifier, ensures maximum bass power thanks to its high degree of efficiency. With a 4 x 350 watt rating for the XL 4000 and 3000 watts for the 1 ohm stable XL1000 mono amplifier, there is more than enough power for any car hifi enthusiast!
Ice Cube 108F is the name given to the new active under-seat subwoofer from MAC AUDIO. This new product has been specifically designed and coordinated for mounting under a car seat. The extremely flat and low-resonance aluminium die-cast housing provides just enough space for the highly efficient digital amplifier and the 20 cm high-power woofer.
Anyone thinking that this number of products is all about sheer quantity has definitely got the wrong impression, because all MAC AUDIO innovations are based on long-standing experience in the car audio industry and are developed and coordinated with great attention to detail!
